Our first upgrade

Look! We have a new faucet! Yeah!
Chris spent all yesterday evening making strange noises under my kitchen sink that sounded alot like he wasn't having any fun..... and when he emerged.... Wah Laa!
The end pulls out and is the sprayer and the handle is so much easier to maneuver that I am still turning the water on full blast even when I don't mean to. But... the very best part is that it DOESN'T LEAK!!!! I love that!
Yes, I wanted chrome, even though the polished nickel is much more fashionable. But in 5 years my chrome will still be the standard and the polished nickel will have been replaced by something new.
I'll stick with the tried and true.

Tom is crazy!

Hey! Get a look at my totally nerdy son!!!
The yearbook was going around taking pictures of all the clubs and Tom and his friends decided to be the chess club since there wasn't an official one. So they all dressed up like this and they will be in the yearbook as the chess club for all to see. I can't wait to hear him explain this picture to his children 30 years from now. They won't believe it was a joke!

Hi!

I have been sharing Sadie's room while I've been here. She is a very light sleeper and it has actually been cool that I have been able to talk to her when she wakes up in the night and get her back to sleep, or give her a hug or find her binky. Its been fun.
So, the other night I had to get up and go to the bathroom, so I snuck out as quietly as I could, tip toeing all the way, closing doors silently. I was quiet as a mouse!! Then I had to sneak ever so quietly back into the room again. I was soooo proud of myself at how quiet I was being. I was sure that no one could have heard a sound.
Then just as I'm about to lay back down in my bed I hear a sweet little voice say "Hi!"
She was wide awake the whole time. I never fooled her, not for a minute! What a kid. I gave her a snuggle and then layed her back down and covered her up and she went right back to sleep. She has been so much fun. She and I have played together and had a great time. I'm sure going to miss her!
